Now based in Edinburgh, Paul Meikle’s creative background stems from his time living in Berlin and passion for sound design. Making the transition from sound design to creating physical works of art was a natural progression for Paul, and has resulted in impressive and a powerful body of work.
Paul is interested in objects such as doors, bins and walls, worn and graffiti’d, with paint from its previous coat poking through after being pushed and rubbed against so many times. Paul views these imperfections as parts of a story, each layer feeling like skimming through a page in a history book, reliving fragments of what came before.
